Jake has
been honing his skills as a bass player for many years.
Driven into the world of Rock after listening to the likes
of Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and Aerosmith, he was most
inspired by bass players such as John Paul Jones and Motown
specialist James Jamerson. His background includes playing
original music with many of Central New York's best
musicians, such as Def Jam/Geffen recording artist Tim
Harrington, 805’s original guitarist Ron Cunningham, and
vocalist/guitarist David Birch from the Hal Casey band. You
may also recognize him as a longtime member of Art
Robinson’s central New York Motown band “Prestige.”
Studio
adventures include recordings for Kim Fetters (“In My
Wildest Dreams”), and previously with Austin City Limits
performer Penny Jo Pullus (“Acme Volcano”). He has recently
recorded tracks on Jeff Bradbury’s new album “Fear Of
Flying”.
