ROB LAUZON
guitar
Rob Lauzon’s career
started in the smoky bars of Syracuse at the age of seven. Billed
as “Little Robbie” by the local papers he played mostly fiddle with
his older brothers in their local band. By the age of 12 he had
already won two fiddle championships and was well known by the
oldtime/bluegrass community as a fiddle prodigy. By this time the
pre-teen had become proficient on an array of instruments and set
his sights on the guitar. By his mid-teens Rob was part of the
S.A.M.M.Y. award winning pop band “Eclipse” and gained local
notoriety as a rock guitarist. After training with guitar legend
Mark Compani at the age of sixteen, his skill level and passion for
the instrument increased and his love of music broadened
dramatically.
By the age of twenty
Rob became a local studio musician working mostly with different
artists on albums, radio commercials and audio book soundtracks.
After a national tour with nationally acclaimed singer/songwriter
Joel Ackerson, he returned home and returned to his country music
roots. Now thirty, Rob has become one of the most sought after
“Nashville style” guitarists in the area, blending a mix of jazz,
rock, country and finger-picking. Currently he performs only with
the Custom Taylor Band.
Rob uses Schecter
guitars, Fender amps and Boss effects.
